A beautiful blue sky day today.
We gathered at Pitcher Mountain in Stoddard, N.H. for some blueberry picking.
Great views from the fire tower in all directions.
Later a short trip up to the field where there are great picking areas.

We learned how to tie dye various items. Kids brought shirts or pillow cases of their choice and were able to create their own tie dye designs. The dying was done outside and everyone was able to take their projects home. Tie dye items have to set overnight for brightest color and instructions were given on how to finish at home. We are looking forward to seeing everyone's results next week.

We visited Stonewall Farm in Keene N.H. It is a working farm with gardens, green houses, trails, animals, farm store and a beautiful large building where they host events, summer camps and activities. We were able to walk through the greenhouses and walk the trails. We enjoyed the chance to pet and see many different farm animals. A great family oriented place to visit and we enjoyed our time there.

Children were encouraged to bring their favorite Teddy Bear or toy and enjoy a picnic with a patriotic theme. For those interested a reading/story time was an option. Books suggested were The Teddy Bears' Picnic, by Jimmie Kennedy and Blueberries for Sal, by Robert McCloskey.
